Introduction

The 2024 International Symposium on Ecological Design Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development (2024ISEDEAISD) focuses on the theme "Intelligent Eco-Design Engineering and Sustainable Development." This conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of intelligent eco-design. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of eco-design and sustainable development.

2024ISEDEAISD is guided by the World Eco-Design Conference (UN Consultative Status NGO)and the Design Education Branch of China Industrial Design Association and co-organized by the Art and Science Research Center, Tsinghua University, and the National Eco-Industrial Design Institute (EIDI), and co-hosted by Sustainable Design Research Institute, Art and Science Research Center, Tsinghua University, Rural Revitalization Innovation Design Research Center of National Eco-Industrial Design Institute, He Xiangning College of Art and Design, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, School of Art and Design, Guangzhou City Construction College, School of Art and Design, Guangdong Industry Polytechnic University, Guangdong Eco-Design Industry College.

The conference aims to follow the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a focus onEco-Design. It will explore the theme of "Integration of Art and Science in Eco-Design Engineering and Artificial Intelligence," gathering new concepts, technologies, materials, and application areas for theoretical and practical research and academic exchange. We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners from various fields to submit relevant research papers. Papers should revolve around innovation design and intelligent engineering exploring new ideas, technologies, and applications. We encourage original research, case studies, and papers on technological applications. All submitted papers will undergo evaluation by 3-4 field experts, and outstanding papers will be selected for oral presentations and poster presentations. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and will be submitted for Ei Compendex.
